Project Wingback Update

Ello ello!
I've been traveling the southwest for a few weeks but now I am back and ready to finish this chair! Luckily, on my travels I found the perfect fabric at Home Fabrics & Rugs! That store is AMAZING, good quality fabric at super affordable prices! I found my fabric (outdoor upholstery polyester) for $10/yd, what a deal!!! I purchased 4 yards, because most wingback chairs need around 3-5 yards for the entire chair.
Fabric $43.50

I'm not sure if the background on this blog influenced my fabric choice or not, but either way I am happy with the fabric choice and the chair is starting to look good! I will have it finished and have pictures up by the end of this week!

SIDE PROJECT
As an ADD designer, I am always starting new projects. Sometimes I even figure out design problems in my sleep! (That's how I decided on staining the wood black for the chair.) But yesterday I woke up with 2 hours to buy or make a present for a 2 year old to bring to her birthday. Digging through my stash of fabric I found some cute cherry print/ bows ect. but decided on an old dollie I bought from a thrift store many moons ago. I shredded and threaded that beezy, lined it with a cute pink cotton fabric, added some sequined flowers and pow! It's cute....right? I tend to make things a little too grandma-esk...I'm an old soul I guess but...I think I might have to make one for myself now......
